Interns at VSS

Angela graduated from the University of Queensland in 2022, and has been working as a GP veterinarian since then. Angela enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine and is excited to work with the VSS team to further develop her skills!

Annie graduated last year from the University of Queensland with her degree of Bachelor of Veterinary Science (honours). Annie is originally from China where she lived until she was 18 years old, and then came to Australia and went directly into vet school!

Annie has developed a keen interest in all aspects of surgery from a very young age, especially orthopaedic, cardiothoracic and neurosurgery.

Outside of work, Annie enjoys going to the gym regularly, travelling and any kind of outdoor activities. Annie also loves spending time with friends exploring restaurants in Brisbane and the Gold Coast area. 

Annie is fluent speaking both Chinese (Mandarin) and English.

Cameron graduated from James Cook University in 2021. He grew up in Daintree and spent the first year out of university working in mixed general practice across multiple remote locations in far North Queensland. Since then, he has been working in small animal general practice in Brisbane. Cameron has thoroughly enjoyed his working life since graduating and has a keen interest in further developing his skills. Outside of work, he enjoys hiking and exploring the region.

Chiara is a 2018 UQ graduate who previously completed a rotating internship with VSS and a critical care internship with Pet ICU. Chiara has also spent some time in general practice as a small animal vet. 

In 2023 Chiara successfully sat her small animal internal medicine membership and passed. 

Chiara owns two Bull Arab X’s - Panzonsudo and Payaso, a cat - Pulga, a rescue rooster - Richard, and a rescue hen. In her spare time Chiara likes to paint, write, take photos, go on walks with her dogs, travel, hang out with friends and train her dogs (and her cat, he knows a few tricks too)!

Joseph is originally from South Korea but moved to New Zeeland with his family at the age of 7. Joseph graduated from Massey University last year, and his passions include basketball, football, and outdoor activities with friends. Joseph was very excited to join VSS and build his career and experiences with the team!

Louisa (Lulu) grew up on the Sunshine Coast and completed her veterinary degree in Townsville, at James Cook University. 

During her final year rotation in internal medicine at VSS she realised her passion for medicine and surgery - the rotating internship seemed like the perfect opportunity to expand my knowledge in both fields!

Lulu loves all animals; however, horses hold a special place. From the age of six, Louisa competed in equestrian and currently has two horses of her own - Smartie and Squiggles.

Louisa also enjoys outdoor activities and spending time with friends and family.

Luke is originally from Adelaide and graduated from James Cook University in 2023. Luke has a strong focus on surgery (soft tissue and neurosurgery) but also has a genuine interest in internal medicine.

Outside of work, Luke can usually be found at the climbing gym or travelling when he has the chance. Luke has a cat called Beerus that he enjoys spending time with after work.

I have a tuxedo cat named Henry who I adore even when he is crazy. You can always find me reading a book and going to Pilates in my spare time.
