At Veterinary Specialist Services we pride ourselves on being able to offer and deliver gold standard care using our state-of-the-art facilities for all of our patients.
Our nurses and technicians are trained in the latest techniques to suit each individual patient, identifying discrete changes and keeping our clinicians informed. They will ensure that your pet receives the best possible care and hospital experience while they are away from their home.
Continuing education is very important for all of our staff. We provide the opportunity for our staff to attend national and international conferences, also conveying this up-to-date knowledge and techniques to our staff and to other referring practices.
VSS has an annual conference including a nursing stream.
Some of the nursing team have achieved or are working towards Veterinary Technician Specialist qualifications (these are provided by NAVTA) and are seen as the peak qualification for nurses/technicians.
Our Underwood Hospital has a Feline Friendly Accreditation from the International Society of Feline Medicine (ISFM). We do our utmost to make the hospitalisation experience the best it can be for our feline patients.
